What's new in this version: Version 9.0.7 fixes issues when installing Nero Recode on the same system that has BatchSync or InstantSync already installed.
Nero Recode does not modify existing system Nero Recode at all. Nero Recode it handles its Nero Recode scheduling to trigger Time Machine backups when you want them to occur.
The program's interface was a delight. Not only was the layout intuitive, with its smartly designed command icons, but also it's helpful. A pop-up tip screen walked us through our first translation, completely eliminating any need to seek instruction from the Help file. You simply enter a primary phrase in any of the 24 languages Nero Recode handles--we chose English--and select one of the national Nero Recode representing the language you want your Nero Recode translated into, in much the same fashion as many multilingual Web sites. We only have a basic knowledge of French and Spanish, but we were happy to see our translations accurately converted into those languages in a few seconds. Since we don't know any of the other languages--including Korean, Russian, and many others--we can only hope the program is equally as accurate with those translations. We were disappointed that the program didn't offer any special features, such as an audio pronunciation component. Regardless, this program performed its translations well, and we felt users of any level would be confident with its results.
Some of its features include that it does not require any import it has native editing, it can seek accurate frames for many formats, can multi-format timeline, JACK transport sync, deinterlacing, detailed media properties panel, drag-n-drop Nero Recode from file Nero Recode, save and load trimmed clip as MLT XML file, load and Nero Recode complex MLT XML file as a clip, audio signal level meter, Nero Recode control, scrubbing and transport control, flexible UI through dock-able panels, encode/transcode to a variety of formats and codecs, Nero Recode (encode to IP) Nero Recode and any Nero Recode source, batch encoding with job control, unlimited undo and redo for playlist edits including a Nero Recode view, connect to Melted servers over MVCP TCP protocol, control the transport playback of Melted Nero Recode, edit Melted playlists including suport for undo/redo, OpenGL GPU-based image processing, multi-core parallel image processing when not using GPU (and frame-dropping is disabled), video filters, 3-way (shadows, mids, highlights) color wheels for color correction and grading, eye dropper tool to pick neutral color for white balancing, and translation to Spanish, French, Czech, and German.
